Everett is an intergenerational, multicultural company of professional artists that creates original concert works and video productions, carries out a wide range of educational programs, and mentors new generations of young artists. Its mission is guided by a strong belief in the importance of collaboration, diversity, and the artist’s role in society. Everett (Formerly Everett’s Company) was founded in 1986 and quickly gained national recognition for its theme-based concert works. These original works use dance, theater, and video to explore themes ranging from science to labor to family. In 2011, Sutie Madison collaborated with Everett for their Brain Cafe series, which would later inspire her to pursue the production of Intersection.
