Famous Canadian actor and comedian, Dan Aykroyd, was diagnosed with mild Tourette Syndrome and Aspergers at a young age.  As a child he would often hear voices and suffer from physical tics such as grunting and nervousness.  Fortunately Aykroyd’s symptoms subsided by the time he was fourteen as a result of successful therapy treatments. Dan Aykroyd was a cast member of Saturday Night Live and starred in numerous films such as Ghostbusters, The Blues Brothers, Driving Miss Daisy, Coneheads, and My Girl.  Married to actress, Donna Dixon, together they have three daughters. (2)

Aykroyd supports several charities: Artists against Racism, Best Friends Animal Society, Dream Foundation, Eblen Charities, Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation and SickKids Foundation. (3)
