This video was created during the very early experimental stages of Band of Artists. Accompanied by friend Andrew Freuh, who also has Tourettes, Sutie explores how Tourettes can be used for this inventive duet. Ticing together for the camera seemed like a clever idea and in fact, these two made for interesting dance partners resembling the quirkiness and charm of the characters Raggedy Ann and Andy. All of the dance movements were derived from tics, and edited and set to music- giving them rhythm and aesthetic appeal. Nothing was rehearsed ahead of time. The end result was a foreshadowing of the dance troupe that would soon follow. This fascinating video begins to challenge the common notion of what dance is and can be.
